Welcome to Sam Pearson’s Art

         Artist  Statement

“I work in multiple media, including oil, acrylic, watercolor, and pastel, and enjoy painting a wide variety of subjects. My greatest satisfaction comes from successfully capturing the personality of my subject in a portrait (such as “Portrait of War,” “Artist’s Mother,” and “Mother Teresa”), or  capturing the uniqueness and charm of a particular place I have visited (“Convento de San Francisco,” “Open air Market, Bologna”)” . I have been painting regularly outside since 2008 with other artists of the Los Gatos Art Association Plein Air group.

Gourd Masks  (16”x24”) pastel.
